Punk rock legends Social Distortion played two sold-out shows at the Hollywood Palladium 10/1 & 2.

Previously, the most recent Social
Distortion L.A. show was part of KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas at the KIA Forum this past December. In 2024, Social Distortion played three nights at the Belasco Theater in Downtown L.A. and No Values Festival December 2022, four nights at the Belasco. In 2022, Social Distortion played four nights at the Belasco Theater. On this tour The Descendants and The Chats are the opening groups. Before L.A., theirshows in San Francisco, and Oakland, CA had been postponed due to frontman/guitarist Mike Ness having a chest infection. The L.A. shows went on as planned. Social Distortion kicked off their 17-song set with “Born to Kill,” the title track of their latest album followed by their cover of “Ring of Fire.” From Born to Kill, “Tonight,” “The Way Things Were,” and “Partners In Crime” were performed. “Ball and Chain,” came two songs before their biggest hit “Story of My Life,” which was before a three song encore of “Reach for the Sky,” “Bad Luck,” and “Don’t Drag Me Down.”

Ness formed the group back in 1978 and have released eight studio
albums. Guitarist Johnny “2 Bags” Wickersham joined in 2000, bassist Brent Harding Joined in 2005, drummer David Hidalgo Jr. joined in 2010, and David Kalish has been the group’s first touring keyboardist since 2011.

Social Distortion will be at the Grammy Museum October 13th.
